INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 fryer chicken, cut up, wash thoroughly, pat dry with paper towel
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. paprika
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a paper bag. Shake 3 or 4 pieces chicken at a time, to coat completely. Place, skin side down, in single layer in baking pan. Bake 45 minutes, then turn over. Bake 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain 1 large can of peach halves; place a whole clove in each. Set aside.
BISCUITS:
- 2 1/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 2/3 c. milk
Mix until dough forms; beat 30 seconds.
When chicken has baked a total of 1 hour, push to one end of pan.
Drop biscuits on other end. Place peach halves on top of chicken.
Bake another 15 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
The oven baked whole chicken is ready to serve...4 persons....enjoy it !
